Today is a free day to explore Queenstown before we cruise onboard the TSS Earnslaw to Walter Peak Farm for our welcome dinner together this evening.

Milford Sound Full Day Tour

Explore Milford Sound

We depart early this morning on a full day trip to spectacular Milford Sound. Once in Milford get close to nature and enjoy the majesty of Milford Sound on a cruise that explores the full length of the fjord. Be prepared to get up close to some incredible waterfalls and if you’re lucky you might see some dolphins.

Option to upgrade to fly back to Queenstown (ask for details and costs).

Queenstown to Franz Josef

A Unique Road Trip Adventure

Departing Queenstown after breakfast we head off on our journey to Franz Josef.

Travelling by private coach and river boat, marvel at the beaches, crystal blue lakes and rivers, mountain peaks, lush vineyards, charming plains, and majestic glaciers as your Tour

Director guides you between local hidden gems. Stop in unique locations that only locals know about.

Late this afternoon we arrive in Franz Josef.

Day 4: Thursday 2 May 2024

Franz Josef to Hokitika

Explore the West Coast

Breakfast at the hotel this morning. Franz Josef glacier is quite unique in that it survives in coastal rainforest temperatures. Perhaps take a spectacular scenic plane or helicopter flight to experience the glacier up close.

We make our way to Hokitika today, stopping off at West Coast Treetops Walkway. On to our hotel for the evening.

Day 5: Friday 3 May 2024

Hokitika to Christchurch

The TranzAlpine Scenic Train

After breakfast, we head up the coast to Punakaiki, home of the famous Pancake Rocks - a limestone landscape of pancake-shaped rock formations, blowholes, and surge pools on this short, paved walk.

After a stop for lunch we head to Greymouth Railway Station for our spectacular journey to Christchurch onboard the TranzAlpine train in the Scenic Plus carriage.

Today is a free day to explore Christchurch using your hop-on-hop for tram ticket before joining your fellow travellers for your final group dinner onboard the Christchurch Dinner tram.
